Beatnik Castle to Perform at 4th Annual Universal Music Day! 0

Tampa’s psychedelic dance/pop duo and 2010 Billboard Top 40 musical outfit Beatnik Castle will once again perform a special unplugged concert performance at the 4th Annual Universal Music Day festival this Saturday, October 9 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Pier in St. Petersburg, Fl. Admission is free and open to the general public. The Pier is located at 800 Second Avenue N.E. St. Petersburg, Fl 33701.
Joining head Beatnik Quincy B will be the soulful sounds of Bay Area singers Ariale and Windy Jewel, as well as Leemarie, who will sing “Tu Puedes Ser Mio?” – the Spanish acoustic version of Beatnik Castle’s Top 40 Billboard dance/pop smash “Will U B Mine?”
“We performed last year and it was really inspiring,” exclaims producer/songwriter Quincy B. “This year will be better because Ariale, LeeMarie, and Windy ad a new dimension to Beatnik Castle’s music. It’s going to be a great harmonizing vocal folk fest, believe me!”
Universal Music Day is an annual event sponsored by a grassroots community of Bay Area music enthusiasts that aims to encourage and harness the power and beauty of music as a universal language.
Mad Monk, LTD recording artist Beatnik Castle’s debut single “Will U B Mine?” (featuring singer Francillia) debuted on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play Chart for May 8, 2010 and peaked at # 37 in June 2010. As of September 2010, “Will U B Mine?” is still being played on many dance/ mix radio and television stations worldwide and is a recurrent hot mixer favorite. Beatnik Castle’s limited edition club remix CD was a Featured Release in Zip Dj’s newsletter and the single was and reached # 2 on Zip Dj’s Top 40 USA National Dance and Club Charts (behind Adam Lambert) in April 2010. The song also was recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and placed on the Official Grammy Ballot in 2009 and 2010. The video is currently being played on several radio and video outlets worldwide, including Sirius/XM, Logo, MTV, VH1 and other international video outlets as well receiving Third Place in the Entertainment Category of the Tampa Bay Video Awards/ Professional Division. The duo also were finalist for the Urban Music Awards in New York City last year as well.
Following a stellar representation at this year’s Winter Music Conference Showcase, Beatnik Castle has released “Tu Puedes Ser Mio?” – a PitBull-styled reggatone song featuring local female rap sensation Cila and singer Leemarie and coproduced by Quincy B and famed dance producer Georgie Porgie. The video for “Tu Puedes Ser Mio?” will be available soon. Beatnik Castle’s follow-up single and video – also to be released through Mad Monk, Ltd/Music Plant Group, “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart? (Like Mine)” featuring Windy Jewel, will be available both in hard disc and digital formats in January 2011. Beatnik Castle’s fourth single “Wander Into You” (featuring Ariale) also will be available in early 2010.
