Tampa Bay psychedelic dance/pop duo and Top 40 Billboard Dance artist Beatnik Castle is proud to announce the much-anticipated third dance/club release “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?” featuring the very talented singer Jennifer Real. “Jennifer is a real talent, no pun intended,” says head Beatnik Quincy B. “She was the original singer on Will U B Mine?”

Written, arranged, and co-produced by Quincy B, “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?” is the much anticipated follow-up single to Beatnik Castle’s Top 40 Billboard dance single “Will U B Mine?” (Featuring singer Francillia) which debuted on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play Chart for May 8, 2010 and peaked at # 37 in June 2010. Beatnik Castle’s limited edition club remix CD was a Featured Release in Zip Dj’s newsletter and the single was and reached # 2 on Zip Dj’s Top 40 USA National Dance and Club Charts (behind Adam Lambert) in April 2010. The song also was recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and placed on the Official Grammy Ballot in 2009 and 2010. The video is currently being played on several radio and video outlets worldwide, including Sirius/XM, Logo, MTV, VH1 and other international video outlets as well receiving Third Place in the Entertainment Category of the Tampa Bay Video Awards/ Professional Division.  As of September 2011, “Will U B Mine?” is still being played on many dance/ mix radio and television stations worldwide and is a recurrent hot mixer favorite.

Recorded at ProStar Studios in St. Petersburg, Fl and mixed and engineered by Quincy B. and Jody Gray, “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?” features a myriad of Beatnik Castle’s musician friends on backing vocals, , including Ohsha Kai, “Little” LeeMarie, Ariale, Phantom Soul, and local singer/performer Chantelle Ashby. Flavored with Quincy B’s traditional “chorus of melodic vocals” and live disco bass, “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?”  will be released later this year and  will be available for worldwide digitally and CD release through Mad Monk, LTD/Music Plant Group (www.musicplantrecords.com). The CD –release will feature remixes by Lenny B, Josh Harris, Klub Jumpers, Electrosonix, Cato K, Mike Cruz, Trypsin, and, of course, Quincy B’s “infamous” candlelight version with orchestration and the soulful piano playing of the very talented Josh Nehri. A video (once again filmed by Russ Miller/Cysings Studios) for both the dance version and the candlelight version will follow in early 2012.

Following the release of “How Do You Mend a Broken Heart?” Beatnik Castle will release its fourth and fifth single “Wander into You” and “P.O.P” respectively– the latter a dance/rap ditty co-written by and featuring Bay Area Rap artist Souljah P Spring 2012. “We have plenty of old-school, traditional-sounding music with the usual Quincy B wall of vocals!” exclaims an excited Quincy B. “Stay tuned!”

Tampa Bay psychedelic dance/pop duo and Top 40 Billboard Dance artist Beatnik Castle featuring Cila and LeeMarie will be performing their new hit single “Tu Puedes Ser Mio?” Wednesday, December 1 at Whiskey North in North Tampa. Also performing that evening is Los Decanos. “Tu Puedes Ser Mio?” is currently being played on several dance mix radio stations worldwide, and the single was  recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and placed on the Official 2011 Grammy Ballot (Ballot Entry # 019) in Category 12Best Dance Recording. (Tampa)-  Tampa premier independent label and recording studio House of Hitz once again will sponsor a benefit relief concert to assist residents devastated by the Earthquake in Haiti. The charity event, appropriately titled Help Haiti Free Concert, will be held in the parking lot of the Dogwater Café at 3611 West Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa, Fl 33614 (on the corner of Hillsborough and Himes) Saturday, March 20 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Sponsors include Speedy, Carlos Guzman (House of Hitz), Big Mike, Mad Monk, Ltd Records, Budweiser, HOOD Magazine, American Dream Barber Shop, Radio MQM.Com, Iron Eagle Security, Famous Fashions, International Academy of Cosmetology and Barbering, Hungry Howies, David Bowes, M & P Smith Construction and Security, Tumbao Music, Arties Moving Service, Tampa Prints for Less, Aguila Sandwich Shop, Corp, The Dogwater Café and many local and national recording artists. Admission is free and attendees will be asked to bring donations such as blankets, non-perishable food items, baby formula, bottled water, and other supplies that will assist the Haitian earthquake victims.

Artists scheduled to perform include Latin League, Sal, Island Hits, Apocalipsis, Cita, & Leemarie, DJ Blaze, Son Del Caribe, Mitriz, TRI, Kimiko, Lisy, Lloyd J, and CZ3. In addition to the aforementioned performing artists, other local and national celebrities will be present and signing autographs. This is the third benefit concert that House of Hitz sponsored for Haiti and, according to House of Hitz’s Carlos Guzman, the previous benefits have been “very successful.” The next benefit is scheduled for April 10, adds Guzman.

“Many of our artists are from Haiti and still have family in the devastated areas,” says Guzman. “”It’s really great to see the local community gather and support this cause.”

House Of Hitz is a Tampa-based independent label and recording studio also specializing in artist development; they’ve recorded such industry notables as Trick Daddy, Trina, 2 Pistols, Strizzo, Gucci Man, Tampa Tony, Tom G and several local and international musicians and performers.
